A starting point for buyers who are new to injection moulding or new to working with us.
Is injection moulding right for my part?
Injection moulding is the best choice when you need repeatable plastic parts in quantities from a few thousand upwards, with complex shapes and tight tolerances. For very small quantities, CNC machining, 3D printing or vacuum casting may be more economical – we can advise.
What drives the cost of a mould?
Part size and complexity, the number of cavities, side actions for undercuts, steel grade, surface finish and whether a hot runner is used. More cavities and better cooling raise the tooling price but lower the cost of every part.
What size of parts can you make?
From small precision components of 0.1 g to large parts with shot weights up to 8500 g (PS basis), on presses from 50 to 1300 tons.
Do you design and build the moulds yourselves?
Yes. Design, machining, assembly and trials all take place in our own tool room, and the same team supports production afterwards.
How do you ensure quality?
Our quality system is ISO 9001 certified. Samples come with a full dimensional report, and production is controlled by first-article, in-process and final inspection.
Who owns the mould?
You do, once it is paid for. You are free to keep it with us for production or move it.
How do you look after my mould?
Each mould has a maintenance plan and records of shots, maintenance and modifications. Toolmakers are on site to handle maintenance and repairs quickly.
What information do you need to quote?
A 3D model or drawing, the material, annual quantity, colour and finish, and any requirements for prototypes, inspection reports or PPAP documents.
