Breathing-circuit filters (bacterial/viral filters, BVFs) and insufflation sets both depend on dependable air flow and seal integrity. The housing halves must mould flat and true so the weld seals every time, and every finished filter must pass its test before it is packed.

Design points we watch
Weld-joint design (energy directors or shear joints), flatness of the mating faces, gate position away from sealing surfaces and polished, well-vented cavities for clear materials. These are reviewed in the DFM stage, before the mould is built.
